Garden Design
Despite becoming a garden designer as a second career Jeremy has a wealth of practical gardening experience. He is a passionate gardener and over 30 years has created from scratch three large gardens of his own. His current garden has been more than fifteen years in the making having been a completely overgrown thicket at inception. It now covers four acres and includes tree avenues, structural hedges and topiary, water features, a natural pond, an orchard kitchen garden and masses of herbaceous planting. Jeremy’s garden has appeared in several national magazines, books and on TV’s Gardener’s World.
As a hands on gardener Jeremy has a strong understanding of the practicalities involved with creating, developing and maintaining a garden. He has extensive plant knowledge, constantly trials new plants in his own garden before selecting them for clients and is well placed to provide expert planting advice. Jeremy believes that looking after plants should be kept as simple as possible. This means “right plant, right place”, but also avoiding plants that are prone to disease and, where possible, that need staking or frequent tending.
Jeremy designs gardens based on a wealth of experience in growing plants, garden maintenance and garden creation.
