This Victorian farmhouse is being extensively extended and our clients wanted to retain the essence of the current native and nature-friendly environment. The new buildings’ layout supports an ideal courtyard setting for what will almost appear to be one large planted area. A new pergola and sunken space accommodates outside seating and dining. Much of the rest of the garden will feature long grass with mown paths where native wildflowers and bulbs will be introduced. There will be an orchard, a new vegetable garden and firepit area. A birch copse will be surrounded by spring flowering woodland plants. Guest parking has been set to the side of the house so that a welcoming front garden can be created.
