Bog Garden & Boardwalk
A silted ditch filled with brambles and nettles has been transformed into a naturalistic bog garden and wildflower setting. Extending to over 60 metres, reeds and iris provide a native base and wildlife haven. Massed camassia bulb planting sets the scene in spring followed by a multitude of iris colours. Many unusual damp woodland plants have been incorporated including primulas, hostas and ferns. Later, huge architectural leaved plants and ornamental long grasses take over. A long zig, zagging oak board walk crosses the planting which allows it to be enjoyed with a view from above.
