Kent Garden
Nestled amongst Kent orchards the large garden of this historic house had become tired and neglected. The rear of the house was re-purposed into an extensive area of naturalistic planting inter-woven with gravel pathways with pockets for seating and dining areas. Central pathways of reclaimed bricks match those of the house leading onto the main lawn beyond. The geometric box pattern and wooden obelisks speak to historic elements within the house but in a contemporary manner. Elsewhere grass is allowed to grow long with mown pathways intermingled with shrubs and widespread bulb planting.
